I have Pneumonia. Is that even how you spell it? I seriously feel like I've been hit by a truck. My whole body aches. On top of that, my asthma is out of control. I have been taking breathing treatments twice a day. My toungue has felt like I ate 10 bags of sour patch kids for 3 days now. It stings so bad! I think it's a result of all the breathing treatments and antibiotics I've been on. About a week and a half ago, I went to the local doc-in-a-box for my asthma. I had a chest x-ray done and they found a spot near my heart. Of course, like anyone else I was terrified and immediately thought of the worse! Boo and my mom calmed me down. A couple days later, they called me to tell me it was pneumonia and they called in a bunch of meds for me. Well, long story short, the meds made it better for about a day and then my cough continued to get worse, I started to get fevers, chills, and am tired ALL-THE-TIME! I am not one to immediately go to the doctor so I tried to tough it out but last night I caved in. I went once again to the doc-in-a-box and had another x-ray done. Once again, the spot near my heat showed up, however this time it was bigger. The doc said it had swelled because of all the coughing and because I have not been resting. Well, a little about me, I have always been a night owl, but in the last few years I think I have just developed insomnia. Boo doesn't understand how I can go on 3-6 hours of sleep. I can be deadly tired but when I lay down, I cannot fall asleep and if I do, it's so light that any little noise wakes me up. Lunesta has been the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I still do not get the recommended 8 hours of sleep. So, bottom line, the doc said I needed to rest. He recommended that I take off today thru Wednesday and just sleep. This is where the problem comes in... I work for a small law firm, literally, there's only 4 people + the attorney. Now don't get me wrong, I love working for my boss! He is a great teacher and extremely down to earth considering he's a lawyer. However, when it comes to taking days off, he's made it extremely uncomfortable to ask. He makes you feel guilty like you're making the whole office fail for the day. So here I am today, at work with a work excuse for three days in my purse. Boo is irritated with me because he knows I should be at home. To make matters worse, the doc says I have to come back next weekend and if there is no positive change with my illness, I will most likely be admitted!!! I'm really hoping my co-workers don't get upset with me cause' I have an "oscar the grouch" mood today! As I'm writing this I'm slowly convincing myself to show my boss the work excuse. Ugh, don't you hate when you get stuck in a situation and you don't know what to do??????
And by the way... Katie, I PROMISE I'm gonna do my blog award post!!!! :)
Hope y'all didn't mind my ramblin' today! I don't really have much to share about this weekend because all I pretty much did was lay around.
Happy Monday! Only 4 more days till the weekend!!!

iT'S SiNgLe'S DaY!!!
I'm linking up with one of my favorite blogs, Kelly's Korner, for Single's Day. It is amazing to see that because of this beautiful mama, people from all over the country were able to find their soulmates. Maybe YOU will be next...
I decided I would post about Brandt's cousin, Tony. Not only is he part of Brandt's family, but he is one of our best friends! He's comes over all the time to hang out with us and it helps because he is a handy man and he doesn't mind fixing things! Him and Brandt are always coming up with some project to build!
Meet Tony. He's just crossed over the 30 threshold. He's a fun, kind-hearted man, looking for love in all the wrong places. He is ready to find the one woman that will be his bestfriend and able to settle down and have a family. He is a Christian and a country boy at heart. The best thing I can say about "cuz" is, with him chivalry is still alive. You don't find that often anymore. He's all about opening doors, being polite and considerate, but he loves a woman's good southern cookin'. Although a little shy at first, once you get him talkin', there is never a dull moment. Lookin' forward to hearing from y'all sweet ladies...

It's been one whole year.
February 2nd, 2011
I knew the dreaded day would come. I felt regret everytime I thought of her and how I had neglected to go see her in that nursing home because I couldn't make time away from my so-called busy life. That morning started out like any other. I got up about 7:00ish and pressed the snooze button continuously. My step-mom called and I rolled over still dozing in and out. A few minutes later I finally rolled out of bed, took a quick shower, and got ready to do my hair. I glanced at the clock and noticed I was running a little behind schedule. I quickly grabbed the hairdryer, started it and I see my cell phone light up again from across the room. I ignore the call and figure I can just call whoever it is back on my way to work. As I continue to blow dry my hair I notice my phone light never goes off. As I mumble in frustration words that a classy lady should never say, I run over to the phone with my hair still dripping wet, rip it from the charger cord and see that my mom is the one who continues to call. I immediately press the ignore button. -I knew.-
My heart sank.
This was not supposed to be the day. She was supposed to wait on me to make it back to Georgia so I could come visit her and she could tell me more stories about her crazy roommate yelling during the night. I wanted to see her freshly painted nails. I wanted to hear her tell me about quilting. I just wanted to squeeze her frail body one last time. But I knew at that moment, I would never be able to. My body ached in pain. I sank to the now soaked bedroom floor and sobbed loud and hard. I felt so much guilt. I layed on that damp floor for what seemed like forever trying to find a resolution, a way to rewind time, a way to make up for my selfishness. I finally managed to pick the phone up and dial Brandt at work. As soon as he heard my voice, he felt my pain. Although he wasn't aware at the moment of what had happened, he was on his way home. I felt slightly better when Brandt got home and was able to comfort me. He was still not sure what was going on because my voice was hardly recognizable through my crying. I finally calmed down enough to tell him, she's gone, my Grandma Buell is gone.
I know everyone has heard this statement about someone before, but I sincerely mean this from the deepest part of me, she was the sweetest, most kind-hearted lady I have ever known. My memories of her include nothing but great times! I remember staying with her many nights as a young girl. I would stay in the middle bedroom with a bed double my height that I'm pretty sure I would have to get a running start to jump onto. This was also her sewing room. At night before bed, the sound of the sewing machine would put me to sleep rather than a song or a story book. She was a woman of great talent. Most of the clothes, or I should say the suits she wore were all handmade by her fragile fingers. Her closet was lined in every color imaginable suits. They were always neat and tidy hanging up. Her floors were lined with tile in every room. She was allergic to carpet and flowers. Her kitchen always had the aroma of a yummy southern meal or a delicious cake. That's what the town knew her for... those cakes. She could make any kind you wanted. Her coconut cake was a specialty. I preferred the stash of Reese's and oatmeal pies she had stowed away in the back of the pantry. My favorite part of being with my grandma was in her living room. She had a furnace that would literally heat up a mall, it was huge!!! It could be the middle of summer and she would have that thing roaring. She and I didn't mind. Our bodies had become so used to that heater, we loved to sit in that room and watch one of the four channels she could receive with her rabbit ear antenna. I could go on and on about all the memories I had with her. It has taken me a while but reminiscing about all the time I spent with her have helped me cope with losing her. Although she is gone to be with all her friends and my heavenly Father, I will cherish the memories I had with her forever.

A Look Back...
Thought I'd scroll down memory lane today and show y'all all my vehicles leading up to my most favoritest EvA!
First, we have the luxurious midnight blue convertible Mustang. As you can see, brace face and all, I was pretty excited to be behind the wheel of my first car with my step-dad and divalicious sista in tow. This all lasted for approximately one week when I figured out my poor five foot body was just not tall enough to see over that huge dashboard. This car was not for me...
Next, we have Prissy. Prissy kept my life sane during my crazy adolescent years. I was in love with my Prissy! Althought there were times when I should have treated her a little nicer and not have left her out in the freezing rain with the top down. But I learned my lesson the next day as I scooped gallon after gallon of water out of her bottom and had to endure the worse mildew smell for weeks. She kept me and my girls safe and there are PLENTY, I mean LOADS, of stories that involve Prissy. She will go down as a monument. I hated to have to sell her. Unfortunately, Boo came into my life and Prissy just couldn't give me everything Boo could. No worries though, at some point, a Prissy 2 will make a debut!
Next, my trusty rusty Camry. She was totally there for me when gas prices hit the roof. I just couldn't afford the $100 plus trips from Georgia to Alabama every weekend to see my Boo. Little did I know, the Camry was there waiting for me already in my drive way to see me through my hard times. She was a hand-me-down from my step-dad! She was a trooper. Now that I sit here and think about it, she took me on numerous vacations including one to the mountains where we got snowed in and her poor skid plate couldnt take it going down those steep mountains so it was gone like a freight train left behind. She is now peacefully in car heaven with all her friends!
And now to my most favorite of them all. The one I have been dreaming of... I haven't decided what I will call her yet. Of course it's a girl. She is just so feminine, comfy, and smells so sweet. Any suggestions?

Next, we have my old trusty. The Honda whatcha-ma-calit. I drove this baby mostly through highschool. It wasn't exactly the car any normal teenager would want to "show-off" which is why this is THE only pic I could find of it! ha. And the story behind this pic... my mom will NOT let me live down. My beautiful bestest friend, Lauren (see below), and I were literally stopped at a red light late one night and a deer came running out of nowhere, hit the side of my NOT MOVING vehicle, cracked the light, and then kept running. I promise, promise, promise we were sitting still at the stoplight. My mom just doesn't believe it! O well, me and Lauren, being the coolest girls in highschool (DUH!) decided to decorate the cracked light with some lovely peppers.

I've been too busy driving her that I haven't taken any pics of her inside! She's fully equipped with sunroof, cloth seats (my preference), power everything, more cupholders than I know how to fill, buttons on the steering wheel, everything! Oh and Boo's fav, the stereo system is some kind of upgrade. whatever. haha I just love her to pieces!
I'm off to get some work done!
Happy Humpty Dumpty Day!
